What We Offer

At Dogwood Art Studio, you will be able to create fun works of art with the guidance of an artist – no experience necessary! Unlike other studios, we cater specifically to private parties so you’re only painting with the people you know. Robin gives you detailed instruction throughout your painting.

Dogwood Art Studio is a cozy studio, so we can only fit up to 10 people at a time. Please no more than 10 guests; this is to ensure your comfort in the studio.

Wine & Paint Parties: $35 per participant
Parties can be scheduled between the hours 11am-7pm Monday through Friday and 11am-5pm on Saturdays. We are closed on Sundays.

Please refer to the Calendar, all dates are subject to availability. Our parties last anywhere from and hour and a half to two hours long. Please arrive a little early so we can start on time.

When scheduling, please include which painting you’d like to paint from the Gallery. Paint palettes are filled prior to your arrival so that we can start on time.

**Please keep in mind that Dogwood Art Studio is a working studio with limited table top space.  Light snacks and drinks only please. Unfortunately, we do not have the space for cake and presents, as this is a working art studio and not an event space. Thank you in advance for your understanding!

Includes: a 16×20 canvas, the use of studio paints, brushes, easels, palettes and aprons. In-depth instruction and personalized help.

For birthday or bachelorette parties, please include the info of the special guest when inquiring about your party. We provide a complimentary bottle of champagne for the guest of honor! (Must be 21 years of age to consume alcohol.)

Some of the things we will go over in our Drawing classes are:

• Drawing Techniques (cross hatching, stippling, contour lines, etc.)
• Shading/Blending Techniques/Values
• Still Life
• Outdoor/Landscapes
• Perspective
• Clothed Figure Studies
• Folds in fabrics
• Light Source/Highlights

• Different levels of pencils (H, HB, B)

Depending on the course session you choose, we may touch on all of these subjects, or some in particular. Your drawing class will be based on your skill level and subject(s) of interest.

Watercolor classes also start off with basic drawing lessons, from there we talk about what supplies to use. For one on one classes, the curriculum is based off what the student would like to learn. (Example: Botanical paintings, plein air, etc.)
